The Belgium bus and coach company Multiobus has chosen Dutch Heliox as its charging infrastructure partner, making it the first commercial turnkey charging infrastructure project for Heliox in Belgium. Heliox is granted delivery of the charging infrastructure for a total of 12 e-buses. Charging will take place in the recently constructed depot.
Multiobus is a partner of the public transport authority and operator “De Lijn Vlaams – Brabant” and has been assigned the public transport service from five locations in the Belgium province of Flanders: Boutersem, Wijgmaal, Budingen, Tienen en Diest. The Multiobus charging infrastructure will be the next commercial step for Heliox in accessing the Belgian market, and will be implemented with new product innovations and future proof solutions. Olivier van Mullen, CEO of Multiobus says ”Like Heliox, we would actively like to take part in making our cities greener and a better environment to live in. Our passengers will be able to appreciate the reduction in fine dust, CO2 emission and noise when travelling with our e-buses; we’re contributing to a better environment for everyone.”
Multiobus is acting in Belgium at the forefont of the electrification of public transport. It became acquainted with its first green transport projects in 2016 and has continued to develop them since then. Heliox is further pushing the limits of e-mobility to contribute to a sustainable future for next generations.
